2013 Aras

The GEOS Symposium 2013 was held on 31 May–1 June in Aras de Los Olmos (Valencia, Spain), following previous meetings in Switzerland, Italy, France, and the minimeeting organized during the 2012 ProAm conference in Onet-le-Château (Rodez area, France). Participants met at the Aras Rural Resort and visited the AVA and University of Valencia observatories. The event also included a presentation on the outcomes of the 6th Iberian Meeting on Asteroseismology.

Scientific contributions covered stellar pulsations, Cepheid and cataclysmic variable light curves, RR Lyrae period variations, SID detection, eclipsing binaries, and tools for analysing RR Lyrae period evolution. The meeting concluded with discussions on future GEOS gatherings, with a preference for returning to C’a del Monte (Italy).
